Orchard Harvest 2025 - The Orchard Core Conference

We've prepared an exciting program for you, with talks from renowned community members and other sessions to make Orchard Harvest the biggest Orchard Core event of the year.

Your host for the day will be Viktória Végh-Magyar, who's the main organizer of Harvest.

All sessions will be recorded and published on the Orchard YouTube channel after the event, so even if you can't make it live, you'll be able to see the sessions. However, being there live will allow you to ask the speakers, meet other community members, and have a lot of fun!

All indicated times are Prague local time. After each session, you'll have a chance to ask questions, and we'll have a short break too.

  Your code is already on GitHub, so why not automate everything with GitHub Actions too? We’ll see how you can use GitHub Actions to run Orchard Core builds and execute tests, lint everything, run spell-checking, manage an Azure environment, and help contributors.

  Translating LINQ to SQL: caching, nullability and other deep topics from EF's query pipeline

  Have you ever asked yourself how Entity Framework Core does its magic, translating your LINQ queries all the way to SQL, and reading the results back as .NET objects? In this talk we'll dive deep into the EF pipeline, and discuss the challenges, the architecture and the solutions to some complex problems. We'll discuss performance, SQL optimization, code generation, LINQ expression trees, null semantics headaches, and various fascinating, low-level details that you've thought about when interacting with EF as a user.

  Bridging Systems: Seamless Data Integration in OrchardCore

  This presentation presents a custom import module, that provides means to import data from external sources. The content is divided into two key sections. The first section focuses on the process of migrating content from the WordPress platform to the Orchard Core content framework. The second section describes how to import data from external sources (e.g. ERP systems) into SQL tables to be utilized in portal applications.

  Maintaining dependencies of Orchard Core apps with Renovate

  Maintaining dependencies like NuGet and NPM packages, GitHub Actions references is fu... Fun! But if you feel that it could be even more fun, then you can automate it with a tool called Renovate. We’ll see how you can set up Renovate so it’s useful but not annoying, do selective updates for different dependencies, centralize configuration for all your projects, and use the Renovate App vs GitHub Actions.

  From CMS to cross-platform: Orchard Core meets MAUI Blazor Hybrid

  In this session, we’ll explore how Orchard Core can power not only websites but also cross-platform apps. Using a single solution, it’s possible to combine an Orchard Core backend with a Blazor Hybrid (MAUI) app and a Blazor WebAssembly app, all sharing common components for a smoother development experience. The result is a flexible setup that lets you build and ship modern applications faster, while reusing the same building blocks across web, desktop, and mobile.
